In Australia we are well into our school year, we start in February and go through to December with breaks every 10 – 11 weeks, our summer holidays is over December – January.

I teach in a school in Western Sydney that is 80% culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD).  We have students from all parts of the world, and we celebrate their diversity.

Book Week is celebrated every second year.  The students and teachers dress up in their favourite characters from the world of the imagination, we parade, we have fun, we create memories …
