Australian Floods as seen from Space

It has been reported that on an Australian Television that Astronaut Chris Hadfield has photographed images of the Queensland floods from his vantage point of the International Space Station.

The Canadian astronaut tweeted took the photos while passing over Central Queensland from the Space Station.

He tweeted: “Hello Australia! Last night I stayed up late to take a few photos of the flooding in the Northeast, which I’ll be posting soon.”

The 54-year-old space veteran has been living on the ISS since 19 December 2012 and has been sharing his photos on a daily basis.

He is part of a five-month mission to carry out scientific experiments.
